MojoProtector MySQL Documentation
Installation
|
-
Using
a Zip decompression utility, extract the contents of mojoClassified*.zip
to a new directory on your personal computer. Click
here for a complete list of included files in the
package.
-
Open
all the files that have extension .cgi located inside
the temporary directory and make sure that the first line
points to the correct path to your Perl interpreter. On
most web servers the default setting will work perfectly.
If you don't know where your perl interpreter is
located, please ask your system administrators.
-
Open your
favorite FTP program and upload all the files and folders
into your cgi-bin directory or any directory that allows
you to run CGI scripts on your web server with ASCII mode. For images, please upload them in binary mode. It is better
to create a separate directory within your cgi-bin directory
for this software.
-
Change the
permissions on all the files that you just uploaded that
ended with ".cgi" to 755
(Read & Execute to all, Write to Owner), or 711
on some servers. In most FTP programs, you can change
the permissions on the files by right clicking on the
files. You should then choose the option CHMOD
or Change Permissions. Windows users should
skip this step.
-
Change permissions to
0777 on the following folders (and every files inside
them):
emails
members
program_files
templates
as well as the config.pl file
-
Open your
favorite web browser and run the install.cgi by
typing in the URL to the file on your web server in the
location bar. Do not close your FTP program yet - you
may need to create some folders or change some file permissions
as the program runs. Follow the directions given.
Have your MySQL data handy, (username, password, database name
and hostname (hostname is usually 'localhost' if running
on same server, please ask your host to get sure))
After you have successfully installed the
software, you will be given a link to the admin area,
if you don't see this link, then probably you have something
wrong in your way. Read the errors that's displayed on the
near top, and try again. If you're still not able to get
past, email us.
-
The default
username is : admin, and the default password is
mojoscripts
Please change the password ASAP so no one can tamper your
program, and make sure you delete the install.cgi right
away (after you have kept a copy, of course).
-
After successfully installed the program
and logged into the admin panel, you need to setup the pricing and membership length structure. If you do not do this, the program may generate some errors when someone try to sign up.
-
The last
step? Well, modify the template files located in the templates
directory to match your site feels and looks.
You may also want to personlize the emails to your taste. They are located inside the emails directory.
-
Delete
the install.cgi immediately after sucessfully installed
the program.
Remember
to vote for us. Thanks for purchasing.
