You can mass mail your members by click on the "email members" link. From here, you can either email your members by username or by email address. Since some servers will time out after a period of time, it is my best advice to email your members by split them up into smaller amount, say 300-500 at a time.
The benefit of email your members by username is that you can parse personal information such as username, password, first name, last name, etc so that it is more impressive. However, it will take more power and hence longer time to process.
Email by email address is quicker since no personal information is parsed...
So it is just a matter of choice, but we offer you something for everyone.
Choosing the right Email format
When sending emails to your members, it is neccessary that you choose the right email format. There are currently 2 formats available: plain text and HTML...
If your email message contains HTML tags then please use HTML mail. If not, your mail looks cryptic and cannot be seen by your members
On the other hand, if your mail is plain text and you choose HTML, then your mail is not properly formatted, and can be very hard to read by members....
