Categories and Ad Management

Category Manager
In the category manager you can add, edit and delete categories.
You can view submitted ads and subcategories.
You can move ads to other, for example more appropriate, categories.
You can add additional sub-categories, and sub-sub categories etc. as well as multiple subcategories at once in form of states or countries.
You can modify the ranking of the categories on the page by clicking on moving up and moving down links.

MojoEstate provides a powerful 3-way category system. This means you create classifieds types such as appartment, condo, house; action types such as for sale, for rent, wanted etc. and location types such as north, north west, west, soutwest etc. These main categories are connected with each other, this means:

Appartment > For Sale > New York is the same as For Sale > Appartment > New York.

If you create now subcategories under a main category such as "Spit Level Duplex", it automatically places itself under both main categories, this means:

Appartment > For Sale > New York > Split Level Duplex is the same as For Sale > Appartment > New York > Split Level Duplex or New York > Appartment > For Sale > Split Level Duplex etc.

This system gives you maximum flexibility for your website visitors since they can easily locate the category of their choice.

- Add a Category

Click on 'Add a category' link. Add the category name, a short description that will be displayed along with the category name, select a graphical icon that will be displayed next to the category name or enter the URL to a custom graphical image. Click Submit.

- Add a Subcategory

Click on 'Create a subcategory' link next to the main category and add the same details as above.

- Active

Views ads currently active in a category.
Click 'Active' link leads to a screen where you are able to view, edit and delete individual ads.

- Pending

Views ads currently waiting for admin approval (if this is turned on in the behaviour section)

Add a category

Category Name	The name of the category.
Category Description	Enter a description of the category here, will be displayed along with the category name on the browse page.
Meta category title	Enter a description of the category here, will be displayed in the title tag header of the category page.
Meta category description	Enter a description of the category here, will be displayed in the meta description tag of the category page.
Meta category keywords	Enter a description of the category here, will be displayed in the meta keywords tag of the category page.
Illustrative Icon	Select an illustrative icon from the selection list which should be displayed along with your category, you can also upload an image to the images folder, this will be automatically available for selection once uploaded.
Optionally, you can choose an icon to display with the category, or enter a remote URL	If you do not want to select a file from the list but use it from somewhere from the internet, you can also specify the url of that image here.
