| Number of days ad is kept |
Amount of days ads are kept in the database. This is the total lifetime of an ad in the database.
It is set upon ad creation. Once the ad expired its still available in the database as long as "number of days ad is kept" is larger than "ad validity period" (as set in
account permissions section). Useful if you want to allow ads to be renewed after they have been expired. Attention: Once an ad is expired but still in the database
it can be renewed by the user. If you want to avoid permanent deletion of one or more expired ads from the database you need to manually update the ad validity in the mysql database. |
| Use ad credit system? |
Use "Ad Credit" system, if you would like to enable members to upgrade to an account with more ad, gallery, message allowances and these allowances will be ADDED to your members existing ones, this means, for example, if a member orders an account that allows him/her to post 2 profiles, and order this very account again to post another 2 profiles. |
| Deduct ad credit for ad renewals? |
Whenever an ad is renewed do you want to use an ad credit for this purpose or should members be able to renew ads after ad expiration without using an ad credit. |
| New ad activation method |
If someone posts an ad, you can choose here whether you want it to be approved instantly, or set on pending, waiting for your approval. Pending ads can be reviewed in category manager section for each category. |
| Notify of a new ad being posted? |
Enter your email address here if you would like to be notified if someone posts an ad to the system. |
| What to do with member's ads after member expires? |
Determine here what to do if a member expires but his/her ads are still active in the system. You can completely delete the ad from the system, suspend it, expire it or just keep it active in the system until it expires too. |

Maximum amount of saved search matches sent to the member via email per time. |
| New gallery file activation method |
Determine here what to do if a member uploads a media file to his/her gallery. Similar to ad activation, you have the choice of approving it instantly, or set it on pending, subject to review. You can review pending media files in member management section. |

If set to "yes", ads with images will be ranked before other ads in category browsing and search results. Encourages your users to upload images to their ads. |
| Display sub-categories that do not have any ads? |
If you have tooooooo many categories which do not have ads in it, you may not want to display them. Whatever your choice is, you can select it here. |
| Hide skipped ("No answer" and blank) ad fields? |
If set to "yes", fields that did not get an answer or are left blank
will not be displayed on the full ad view page. |
| Number of ad post pages |
This number determines how many steps your profile
posting process has, you can set this to "1" to make one large single page to collect your
members profile or spread the user input on
several pages. The default is "4" pages: user profile data (post1.html template),
profile description data (post2.html),
additional user characteristics (post3.html) and media upload (post4.html). The next step is always the
ad preview followed by ad posting. You can even extend the signup process to more steps, in
this case copy a template such as "post4.html" and name it "post5.html" and so on.
Important: If you change this setting, make sure the database field you want to display
on your ad posting page is set to be displayed on the correct template. You can verify the
field setting in admin area > database fields > ad database section. More about this in the
database section of this documentation. |
| Send user after registration to |
Here you can determine where you would like to sent a user immediately after registration. You can send him/her to the control panel or force to post a profile right away. |
| Allow members with no ads to mail to members? |
Set to "yes" if you would like "guests" or "visitors" contact your members too via private messaging. If you enable this, please note that your members do not know the identity of guests or visitors, also your members obviously can not reply to this message. |
| Maximum message length |
Maximum amount of characters a private messages should have. This helps to prevent users sending megabytes of text to each other. |
| Convert links to Search-Engine Friendly URLs? |
If set to "yes", your ad pages will be converted to search engine friendly URLs like "mojoClassified/2/0/2" instead of
"mojoClassified.cgi?mojo=1&action=browse&cat=2&parent=0&number=2". This helps pages getting picked up by search engines. This requires mod_rewrite support on your server, check with your server admin if you are getting problems here or if you are unsure whether you have mod_rewrite support or not. |
| Run user area script on mod_perl? |
If you have mod_perl support on your server, set to "yes" to increase productivity of 5-8 times. Check with your server admin if mod_perl is supported on your server. |
| Datetime format |
Set date display according to your needs, the default is "%A, %B %d, %Y" which displays "Sunday, March 13, 2005". "A%" = weekday, "B%" = month, "d%" = day, "Y%" = Year. |
| Currency sign |
Set currency sign that is displayed on various pages throughout your system. |
| Use Anti-Robot check |
Turn on to activate anti-robot image on registration screen to prevent bots and robots
from registering fake users. Needs image magick or gd.pm perl modules pre-installed on your server. |

Amount of money that is credited to user account balance after registration. Leave empty for 0 or enter any value. |
| Count stats from non-registered members too |
If turned on, the system will also count actions from non-registered members when viewing ads or replying to ads. In off status, only actions from registered users are tracked in view ad, saved and replied stats. |
