System Administrators & Administrative Groups

MojoClassifieds gives you power to define what anyone can do in your admin area, including yourself!!! This is done through the use of "admin groups" or "groups" for short. Each group define set of privileges, and administrators will carry the privileges as defined by the group he/she belongs to. You can define as many groups as you want, each carry a defined set of privileges. This means that you can give access to people to the admin area but only let them do what you want them to do.

However, anyone who logs in with "admin " as the username will have full access to the admin panel.

Admin groups
  sets of privileges that defines a user access to the admin control panel.
   
Adding a new administrative group
 

To add a group

  1. Click on the "Admin Groups" link.
  2. Click on the "add new group" and you will be taken to the another page
  3. Enter a unique name for the new group
  4. Set permissions for that group. Please choose permissions wisely.
  5. Click on the "submit"' button to add it.
Removing an existing administrative group
 

To remove a group:

  1. Click on the "Admin Groups".
  2. Click on the delete link located to the right of the group you want to delete. Please note that deleting a group will effect all users belong to that group. These users will no longer be able to login.
  3. The selected group is permanently removed
Making changes to an existing administrative group
 

To change a group's permissions:

  1. Click on the "Admin Groups".
  2. Click on the edit link located to the right of the group you want to make changes.
  3. Re-set permissions for that group. Please choose permissions wisely.
  4. Click on the "submit"' button to save.
 
Administrators
  persons who can login to the admin control panel and take actions as defined by the group he/she belongs to.
 
Adding new administrators to the database
 

To add an administrator to a group:

  1. Click on the "Administrators" link. Here you will see your current administrators and the group they belong to as well as a button to add a new administrator.
  2. Click on the "Add an Administrator" button
  3. Enter an existing username of the new administrator
  4. Choose a group from the pop-up menu.
  5. Click on the "submit"' button to save.
Removing an administrator from the database
 

To delete an administrator:

  1. Click on the "Administrators" link.
  2. Click on the " Delete" link to the right of the "admin" you want to delete.This administrator is now deleted from the list of your administrators. However, this person still able to login and use your services. He/She just cannot login to the admin panel. If you wish to delete this person, please use the "Search Members" function and delete that person from there.
Changing an administrator's level of access
 

To change an administrator's previleges:

  1. Click on the "Administrators" link.
  2. Click on the " Edit" link to the right of the "admin" you want to make the changes. You will be taken to a similar screen as when you add an administrator.
  3. Choose a new admin group from the popup menu
  4. Click on the "submit" button to save

If you want to change this admin's profile, you need to do that from the members menu.
